RE: 2016 Plymouth Festival of Cyclocross

International Cycling and Event Services has some good news and some bad news.

            The bad news:

It is with great disappointment that International Cycling and Event Services must announce that the 2016 edition of the Plymouth Festival of Cyclocross will not be taking place on November 5th and 6th do to unavailability of the race venue.

The course for the past two seasons at the Plymouth Community Intermediate School was a great course and the 2016 edition had plans to make it even better.  After obtaining permits through the Town of Plymouth and USAC, we were informed by the school that playing fields would not be available do to reseeding and other work to the field turf.

The 2017 edition of the Plymouth Festival of Cyclocross will be taking place at new venue on private property.  The new venue has some really great features and will allow us to build out a lasting course that meets that needs of modern and classic cyclocross racing.  In addition to a great terrain, the new venue has a bar and restaurant on site which over look a majority of the course! We are looking forward to bringing a great cyclocross experience back to life in Plymouth as has been the case for the past 30+ years.

            The good news:

Introducing the Really Rad Festival of Cyclocross. International Cycling will be producing a new cross race for 2016 (this year, on what would have been the PFoCC weekend, November 5th and 6th, different date next year) at the Cape Cod Fairgrounds in Falmouth MA.

This new course and venue are going to be super rad!  The Cape Cod Fairgrounds has an excellent layout for cross. There will be everything you hope for in a cross course. Hills, sand, run-ups, off camber corners, and last but not least, BEER! That's right, a BEER GARDEN! The good folks Indie Ferm are going to be slinging pints right in the middle of all the action. If you had fun at the Coonemesset Eco Cross, then imagine how much fun a full weekend of cross and beer will be on a bigger stage.  We also have plans for some outstanding food options at this new race to compliment Tom's Wood Fired Pizza.

The Really Rad Festival of Cyclocross will be up on by September 23rd.
